Aaditya Thackeray Slams BJP: Protests are taking place today to ensure justice for the country’s youth and students. We are currently demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, this is just the beginning; going forward, we will directly demand the resignation of the country’s Prime Minister—this was the aggressive warning issued by Aaditya Thackeray, a leader of the Thackeray-led Shiv Sena. He expressed a firm resolve, stating that even if they were to be cut down, they would never bow before the BJP.
A public protest was organized in Mumbai by the Thackeray-led Shiv Sena to support the agitation of Ladakh-based environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk and to condemn the Central Government’s oppressive tactics. While addressing the protest, Aaditya Thackeray launched a fierce attack on the BJP’s policies and the current state of affairs in the country.
Aaditya Thackeray on Sonam Wangchuk: “Wangchuk arrested to hand over Ladakh to Adani”
Referring to Sonam Wangchuk’s protest, Aaditya Thackeray said, “Sonam Wangchuk had previously staged a peaceful protest demanding special state status for Ladakh. The BJP had even promised this to the people of Ladakh before the Lok Sabha elections. However, the BJP intends to hand over Ladakh’s land to industrialist Adani. It is for this very reason that Sonam Wangchuk had to protest earlier.” Thackeray Targets BJP Over ISRO and Constitution: ‘Mandate Given to Transform the Nation, Yet They Are Altering the Constitution’
Criticizing the central government’s functioning, Aaditya Thackeray said, “The people of this country gave the BJP a mandate to transform the nation and drive development. However, these people are now attempting to alter the country’s Constitution. Reports have emerged that 100 scientists from ISRO have resigned. Where is the world headed, and where do we stand? The BJP is unable to manage vital institutions like ISRO, yet they are busy poaching MPs from other parties. Where have the BJP’s slogans like ‘Har Ghar Jal’ (Water for Every Household), ‘Smart City,’ and ‘Housing for All’ gone now?”
Aaditya Thackeray on Abhijeet Dipke and NEET: Referencing Abhijeet Dipke’s Protest
Aaditya Thackeray took a strong stance regarding the NEET exam and the chaos within the education sector. “Abhijeet Dipke, a young man from Maharashtra, is currently on a hunger strike in Delhi, fighting for students’ rights and justice. His primary demand is the immediate resignation of the Union Education Minister. However, the BJP government is deliberately trying to divert public attention from issues concerning the youth by entangling the people in disputes over religion and caste. While the world moves forward, the BJP keeps us trapped in the past—raking up old debates like ‘Nehru vs. Sardar Patel’ and dwelling on events from 50 years ago,” he criticized.
India’s Unemployment Report: ‘Oust an Anti-National Party Like the BJP from Power’
Highlighting the grim unemployment situation in the country, Aaditya Thackeray cited a specific report. “Over the next 10 years, 1.2 billion young people in the country will need jobs, yet the reality is that only 400 million will actually secure employment. The children of BJP leaders will go abroad to study and settle down; so, where are our ordinary youths supposed to go? This government is engaged in looting the Ram Mandir and Pandharpur. Therefore, an anti-national party like the BJP must be ousted from power. Now, there should be only one slogan across the country: first the resignation of Education Minister Pradhan, and then the resignation of the Prime Minister himself,” warned Aaditya Thackeray.
